Creating things, anything…cooking, sewing, knitting, painting, a garden, anything we make is creative. Cooking, sewing, knitting are necessities and also very creative. We need food to eat, yet it is how it is cooked, or put together that makes a difference in taste. Sewing and knitting and crocheting also a necessity, how else would we keep clothes on our backs and stay warm? Because of many creative minds, we now have different knitting stitches, crochet patterns and beautiful clothes and blankets! Gardening is another form of Creativity. How many beautiful gardens have you come across in your lifetime? Have you seen some gardens that look rather unique, perhaps a little “different” but still very beautiful? Mother Nature is always hard at work. Now, let’s talk about Us, as Artists with the world as our pallet. The possibilities are endless! When we hear someone state, “I have no talent, I can’t do that.” They need to just TRY! That is all that it takes. The Artist Bob Ross used to say on his PBS painting shows, “there are no mistakes, just happy beginnings.” Creativity begins in our hearts, not our heads. If anyone wants something so bad, it is in their Heart that they get that determination that moves them, so let’s see what your heart will help you create! Do that one thing you have always wanted to do. Create that wonderful meal, or make that beautiful quilt…you will find that whatever you create, you will have such a wonderful sense of well being…and that is what it is all about, isn’t it?
